St. Teresa’s "Into the Mud" Cookies
Photo from Photos.comIt is believed that St. Teresa of Ávila was dumped into mud when her carriage overturned. As you make these cookies with the children, ask them if they ever fell into some mud. Have them picture in their mind what St. Teresa looked like covered with mud. The cookies taste much better than real mud!
You will need:
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
¾ cup confectioner’s sugar
¼ cup softened cream cheese.
Nuts if desired.
Bowl
Tray or plate
Mix all the ingredients by squeezing together with clean hands. Shape into patties. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
