For your reflection
What good friends the paralyzed man had! They were determined to get him close to Jesus even when that meant lowering him from the roof. What faith they had! What steps do you as catechist take to get those you teach closer to Jesus? Do you believe in his healing power?
With your class
Invite children to role-play this scenario: Their friend is sick, and Jesus can heal her, but a huge crowd is blocking them. What will they do? Then share the story about the paralyzed man. What do they think about Jesus and what he said and did in this story?
